Coastline Surf and Sport 1417 Broad St., Victoria, British Columbia V8W 2B2

Do you love surfing, beautiful images and art? At our March chapter meeting we’ll be watching the movie “Under an Arctic Sky” (more on film below). We’ll also have a brainstorm/discussion about a new project to use public art and images to inspire and engage people around clean oceans and beaches. The discussion will be led by Mia Lauzon, a local artist who uses art to inspire environmental action https://www.mialauzoncreations.com/this-aint-a-trash-story.

Under an Arctic Sky is a film project, by Chris Burkard, documenting the journey to the most remote corner of Iceland in the middle of winter in search of perfect surf. A few days in, the worst storm in twenty five years blows through and shuts down the country, turning the search for waves into a life-threatening prospect.
