On Vancouver Island, one of the main areas of concern for protecting public beach access has been the Jordan River area. This area is important to surfers and the general public and the sale of the land back in 2007 threatened its future and the ability for all to access it freely.

With the help of The Land Conservancy (TLC), the Capital Regional District (CRD) is in the process of purchasing the land around the Jordan River waterfront and turn it into a park reserve.

The purchase is not yet final and the The Land Conservancy needs your donation to help ensure that the land is purchased and protected for all for the future. To learn how to get involved, check out the Pledge Your Pebble campaign!
